Costco Cowboy

Cowboy Potato in training !
We were at Costco last Thursday night and our little cowboy was having a great time trying out all the new Christmas things! Here is one that was just his size . . .  you should have heard all the oohs and ahhhs from people as Carter kicked back in this little recliner! I had such a hard time not laughing out loud!

Sorry the photo is a bit fuzzy, my camera in my phone was cracked by a certain lovable puppy of ours!

The Sleep of the Dead....

If you know David, you know how hard he can sleep. Well, our little
Carter has inherited his "Super Power", because when I was trying to
take him to help Grandpa Keith pick out his new kitty at he humane
society I couldn't wake him up for anything! I finally gave up and let
him sleep for another 25 min while went to Dad's house. As we headed
back across the river to the humane society we went over the Clay
Street railroad tracks, and if you know those tracks you know what big
rolling bump they are! Well I looked over at Carter as we went over
them and I saw this sneaking little smile begin on his face where I
thought I would see crying from being abruptly woken out of such a
deep sleep! I had screamed like when you are on a roller coaster and
he slowly opened his eyes and grinned telling me that he "Went whoa
inside when we went over the big bump"! then we both began laughing in
the truck as we went to meet up with Grandpa Keith and Betty.

By he way, Grandpa got a little black and white tuxedo kitty and as
yet her name is Pumpkin.

Oh the Dramatic Flare for Music!

Carter was over at Grandma Linda's house last night and was giving us a little concert on Grandma's harp. He would strum with both hands and arms sweeping wide and when he was done he would bow nice and deep as we all clapped. He was so very serious about it all too! It was a beautiful concert! We are so proud of our little musician!

Carter's First Bible Verse

This morning Carter woke up and we were talking in bed and he told me that in school they study the Bible. He said they write a bible verse on the board and this week they learned "A friend loves at all times." and then said it is found in verse 17:17! I was amazed how much he remembered. He couldn't quite recall the book, so I looked it up and we went down and told Papa that it was found in Proverbs 17:17 - A friend loves at all times. We talked about what that means and he told me that he is nice to people, which I agreed with.
