The Sleep of the Dead....
Carter has inherited his "Super Power", because when I was trying to
take him to help Grandpa Keith pick out his new kitty at he humane
society I couldn't wake him up for anything! I finally gave up and let
him sleep for another 25 min while went to Dad's house. As we headed
back across the river to the humane society we went over the Clay
Street railroad tracks, and if you know those tracks you know what big
rolling bump they are! Well I looked over at Carter as we went over
them and I saw this sneaking little smile begin on his face where I
thought I would see crying from being abruptly woken out of such a
deep sleep! I had screamed like when you are on a roller coaster and
he slowly opened his eyes and grinned telling me that he "Went whoa
inside when we went over the big bump"! then we both began laughing in
the truck as we went to meet up with Grandpa Keith and Betty.
By he way, Grandpa got a little black and white tuxedo kitty and as
yet her name is Pumpkin.

Carter's First Bible Verse
This morning Carter woke up and we were talking in bed and he told me that in school they study the Bible. He said they write a bible verse on the board and this week they learned "A friend loves at all times." and then said it is found in verse 17:17! I was amazed how much he remembered. He couldn't quite recall the book, so I looked it up and we went down and told Papa that it was found in Proverbs 17:17 - A friend loves at all times. We talked about what that means and he told me that he is nice to people, which I agreed with.

We are sooo proud of our little musician!
Today was Carter's first recital where he played Twinkle A! He did such a good job!Grandpa Keith, Nana, Uncle Bubba, Cousin Stevie, Grandma Vivian, Grandpa Jim, Edith and Thalia were able to be there to witness and help celebrate! We went out to dinner after the recital at Oggi's here in Temecula.
Carter went and found the other young recitalist there by the name of Bo and started a conversation with her. She is about 3 months older than Carter and started lessons around her birthday just like Carter did. They seemed to get along really well.
David and I are so very proud of Carter and all that he has accomplished in his short time taking violin lessons. He told me that he enjoyed himself and looks forward to learning more! Thank you all!

Tunafish

told him no, I was making him a cheese sandwich and the tuna was for
me. Well, he looked quite relieved and promptly told me that he liked
tuna in his tummy but not in his mouth!

Here is Carter standing next to his puzzle
Nick gave him for his birthday!
Tonight we were practicing for his violin lesson and he told me that
he was the conductor and I was the player! Then he said that the
conductor is also the drummer!
After doing his la la's that we have been mildly successful at he
turned around and did nearly the whole new song "we" have been
practicing via a metal pipe that went to his pack n play pretending
that it was a flute! I guess Mr. Del Rosario was right when he said
we'd be surprised what he would absorb!
He is always so amazing!!!

A satisfied sleep
long winter's nap.
Yesterday he spent over two hours laughing and skiing together with
Mama. Even when he would fall he would laugh and say "I crashed!"
"Mama let's go fast!" He told me while we were skiiing that he would
go surfing on the water too. He got on the magic carpet at least twice
all by himself and when it was time to go he still wanted to stay on
the small hill. When we left the Mt. Rose resort he told everyone that
he would be back next time! He keeps saying that his favorite part of
skiing was that it was with Mommie. Who could resist that? I am so
proud.

Carter celebrates his 3rd birthday in Cradle Roll!
on to the next class! The new level includes the three Bennie girls
and many others who have graduated before him. I think he thoroughly
enjoyed the experience until a little girl took his seat before he was
even ready to go! All in all he was jazzed once he got there - he got
a scroll in the new class to take home with him.

Carter watches his first full theater movie with Mama & Papa (with Grandpa David & Granny Louella too)
old! We took him to see The Tale of Despereaux in leiu of going to the
Zoo - we were way too late to get there before they closed at 4pm
since we had a nice leisure morning of breakfast, post party cleanup,
and jumper jumping.
In this picture Carter is worried about the fate of the young hero of
this movie as he is banished from Mouseworld to the dungeons below. I
missed the great laughing moments because of course I too was laughing
along side Carter and Papa.
Tomorrow is Carter's official birthday. We will be saying good bye to
Grandpa David and Granny Louella and heading back to the new year!
Thanks again to all who celebrated with us and from afar! You are all
loved so very much!
